Oetiker® Hand Installation Pincers (HIP) have been designed especially for Industry and Trade applications, as well as Automotive service and repair, for pinching and removing ear clamps quickly and easily. They are designed to produce the highest possible radial loads and uniformity around the circumference of the application, for the best hand installed clamp sealing performance

Clamping Procedure: After assembling the hose, use an Oetiker® ear clamping tool to compress the clamp’s ear.  The clamp’s ear should be reduced in size by at least 40% to provide enough clamping force. If sized correctly, the clamp’s ear should not close completely during compression.
