Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit for 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO 5.7L and 6.0L, Silver - MMOC-GTO-04T

The Mishimoto MMOC-GTO-04T Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit is designed for 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO models equipped with 5.7L and 6.0L LS-series engines. High oil temperatures can compromise lubrication and accelerate wear, especially during spirited driving or demanding track use. This complete kit improves oil temperature control with a large 25-row stacked-plate oil cooler that efficiently dissipates heat while maintaining minimal pressure drop.
A specially designed oil line adapter bolts directly to the factory oil filter housing, providing a secure connection for the included stainless steel lines. Because of the limited space around the GTO oil filter housing, this application uses Mishimoto's in-line oil thermostat instead of a thermostatic sandwich plate. The thermostat installs beneath the headlight with a direct-fit bracket and regulates oil flow to help maintain an optimum 185°F operating temperature. This design allows the engine to warm efficiently while providing additional cooling when oil temperatures rise.
During testing without the in-line thermostat installed, the Mishimoto GTO oil cooler reduced oil temperatures by 65°F, demonstrating the cooling capacity of the 25-row core. By helping maintain stable oil temperatures, the kit supports consistent lubrication, improved engine durability, and reliable performance. The MMOC-GTO-04T is compatible with 2004 Pontiac GTO models with the 5.7L engine and 4L60-E or T56 transmissions, as well as 2005-2006 GTO models with the 6.0L engine and 4L65-E or T56 transmissions.
