The Mishimoto MMINT-DMAX-17KSLP Performance Intercooler Kit is engineered for 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax L5P diesel engine. Designed for stock and modified applications, this complete intercooler upgrade improves charge-air cooling, increases airflow, and supports more consistent performance under demanding towing, hauling, and performance conditions. The silver intercooler and polished piping provide a clean, performance-focused appearance while maintaining a direct-fit installation.
The kit includes a 68mm-thick bar-and-plate intercooler with cast-aluminum end tanks and enlarged inlets and outlets. The core is 70 percent thicker than the factory unit and is designed to withstand elevated temperatures and boost pressures without cracking. Its high-flow construction reduces intercooler system restriction by up to 64 percent compared with stock, helping lower intake air temperatures and promote improved engine efficiency and throttle response.
Included hot-side and cold-side intercooler pipes are constructed from 3-inch mandrel-bent aluminum tubing to eliminate the restrictive factory resonator and improve airflow by up to 55 percent over stock. DuraCore boots, constant-tension T-bolt clamps, bead-rolled pipe ends, and a CNC-machined quick-disconnect fitting with new O-rings and spring clip help provide secure connections and an OEM-style fit. The piping also includes provisions for factory sensors and harnesses, along with three bungs that can be drilled and tapped for additional sensors or water-methanol injection systems.
This Mishimoto Duramax L5P intercooler kit is a direct-fit upgrade for compatible 2017-2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD models and GMC Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD models.
