Protect your 2007-2014 Ford Mustang GT500 intake system with the J&L Oil Separator 3.0, part number JLT3012P-B. Designed for passenger-side installation, this oil separator helps reduce the amount of oil vapor routed through the crankcase ventilation system and back into the intake. Oil vapor can accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners, while also potentially lowering fuel octane. These effects can be more pronounced in forced-induction applications such as the supercharged GT500 engine.
The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 uses a solid billet aluminum body with a black anodized finish for durable, long-term service. Its multistage filtration system begins with a fine stainless steel mesh screen that captures suspended oil vapor. As the collected vapor becomes heavier, it drains through a 1/2-inch aluminum honeycomb filter, where additional separation encourages the oil to fall into the removable reservoir instead of continuing toward the intake. Cleaned air is then allowed to pass through the PCV system.
A knurled tank base makes the separator easy to remove for routine draining, while the integrated O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. The reservoir holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained regularly, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions and engine performance. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and maintenance. The J&L JLT3012P-B is designed specifically for 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Ford Mustang GT500 models. Professional installation is recommended to verify proper fitment and hose routing.
