The J&L Oil Separator 3.0, part number JLT3018D-C, is designed for the driver side of select 1999-2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra models and 2003-2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1 applications. During normal engine operation, crankcase vapors can carry oil into the intake tube, intake manifold runners, and combustion process. This issue can be more pronounced on supercharged and turbocharged engines, where increased crankcase pressure may contribute to greater oil vapor accumulation. By separating oil from the crankcase ventilation stream, this J&L separator helps promote a cleaner intake system and supports consistent engine operation.
The separator is milled from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term use and finished in clear anodizing for a clean appearance. Its removable, knurled tank base allows convenient draining, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks during operation. The tank provides a 3-ounce fluid capacity, and routine draining every 2,000 to 3,000 miles helps maintain effective collection without allowing the reservoir to become full.
A multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to capture oil vapor particles and release them as they condense. The collected oil then passes through an aluminum honeycomb filter that encourages additional condensation before the oil settles into the removable bottom. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system toward the intake, helping reduce the amount of oil vapor introduced into the engine. This driver-side J&L oil separator is intended for compatible Ford Mustang applications and is not emissions-certified for legal use in all jurisdictions.

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
