The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 Base Kit, part number JLT3001-B, helps reduce the amount of oil vapor and contaminants routed back into the engine’s intake system through the crankcase ventilation system. Oil vapor can collect inside intake tubing and manifold runners, while forced-induction engines may experience increased crankcase pressure that worsens the issue. By separating suspended oil from the ventilation flow, this kit helps support cleaner intake components and helps prevent oil vapor from affecting fuel octane.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable performance and finished with a black anodized coating. Its knurled tank base allows the collection chamber to be removed easily for service, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. The included two brackets and six fittings support a straightforward installation for compatible applications. The compact design is well suited for engine compartments where reliable crankcase vapor management is required.
A fine stainless steel mesh screen captures small oil droplets and allows them to collect until they become heavy enough to fall into the removable reservoir. A 1/2-inch-thick aluminum honeycomb filter provides a second stage of separation, encouraging additional oil condensation before the cleaned air continues toward the intake. The separator has a 3-ounce collection capacity, and regular inspection and draining every 2,000 to 3,000 miles is recommended to maintain effective operation.

Eligibility
Items must be returned in their original condition—unused, unwashed, and with all tags and packaging intact.

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
