The J&L JLT3108P-B Oil Separator 3.0 is designed for the passenger-side crankcase ventilation system on 2016-2024 Nissan Titan models equipped with the 5.6L engine. During normal operation, crankcase pressure can carry oil vapor into the intake tube, intake manifold runners, and combustion system. This buildup may reduce intake cleanliness and can contribute to lower fuel octane. The effect can be more pronounced on forced-induction engines, but all engines can benefit from improved oil vapor control.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable service and finished with a black anodized coating. Its multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh to capture suspended oil vapor, followed by an aluminum honeycomb filter that encourages the collected vapor to condense into heavier droplets. The separated oil settles in the removable tank base while cleaner air continues through the intake system. A knurled base simplifies removal during maintenance, and the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks.
With a 3-ounce fluid capacity, the J&L Oil Separator 3.0 provides practical containment for routine PCV system maintenance. J&L recommends inspecting and draining the separator every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, although service intervals may vary based on vehicle use and engine condition. This passenger-side configuration is engineered for the specified Nissan Titan application and provides a clean, durable solution for reducing oil vapor contamination in the intake tract.

Eligibility
