Help protect the intake system of your 2024-2026 Ford Mustang 5.0L with the J&L Oil Separator 3.0 PCV Side, part number JLT3091P-C. During normal engine operation, crankcase pressure routes oil vapor back through the intake system, where it can accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners. This issue can be more pronounced on supercharged and turbocharged applications because of increased crankcase pressure. The J&L separator captures these vapors before they continue into the intake, helping reduce oil buildup and preserve intake air quality.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for dependable durability and finished in clear anodizing for a clean, corrosion-resistant appearance. Its knurled tank base allows convenient removal for draining, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and provide a secure connection to the factory-style ventilation system. The removable collection tank holds up to 3 fluid ounces, offering practical service intervals for routine maintenance.
A multistage filtration system combines a fine stainless steel mesh screen with an aluminum honeycomb filter. The mesh captures fine oil vapor particles, allowing them to condense and fall into the lower chamber. The honeycomb media further increases droplet size so the collected oil remains separated from the airflow instead of being carried into the intake. For best results, inspect and drain the separator approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine use. This J&L oil separator is designed for the PCV side of 2024, 2025, and 2026 Ford Mustang models equipped with the 5.0L engine.
