The J&L JLT3088P-B 3.0 passenger-side oil separator is designed for 2020-2025 Chevrolet Corvette models equipped with the LT2 6.2L engine and Targa top. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel through the PCV system and accumulate in the intake tube, intake manifold runners, and combustion system. This effect can be more pronounced in high-performance and forced-induction applications. By separating oil vapor before it reaches the intake, this J&L oil separator helps support cleaner intake components and more consistent air-fuel system performance.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term use and finished in black anodizing for a clean appearance. Its knurled tank base allows convenient removal when draining collected oil, while the integrated O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and provide a secure connection to the vehicle’s existing ventilation system. This passenger-side configuration is engineered specifically for the listed Corvette application.
A multistage filtration system combines a fine stainless steel mesh screen with an aluminum honeycomb filter. The mesh captures fine oil vapors and allows them to condense, while the honeycomb media promotes additional separation so collected oil falls into the removable lower tank instead of continuing toward the intake. The reservoir holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained regularly, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions. The J&L JLT3088P-B is intended for automotive use and is not CARB approved.
