Help protect the intake system of your 2014-2019 Chevrolet Corvette with the J&L JLT3087D-C 3.0 driver-side oil separator. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel through the PCV system and collect inside the intake tube and manifold runners. These deposits can reduce intake cleanliness and may dilute the fuel mixture, lowering octane performance. The issue can be more pronounced on forced-induction engines, but effective oil vapor control benefits naturally aspirated applications as well.
The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 uses a solid billet aluminum body for durable service and a clear anodized finish for corrosion resistance. Its knurled lower section allows the collection chamber to be removed easily for draining, while an O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and provide a secure connection to the factory ventilation system. This driver-side configuration is designed specifically for Chevrolet Corvette models equipped with the LT1 6.2L engine from 2014 through 2019.
Inside, a multistage filtration system captures fine oil vapor while allowing cleaned air to continue toward the intake. A fine stainless steel mesh screen traps suspended oil particles, and the aluminum honeycomb filter encourages the captured vapor to combine into heavier droplets. The oil then falls into the removable collection chamber instead of continuing through the PCV system. With a 3-ounce capacity, the separator should be checked and drained periodically, generally every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions. The J&L JLT3087D-C is not CARB approved and is intended for applicable off-road or non-emissions-regulated use.
