The J&L JLT3085D-C Oil Separator 3.0 helps protect the intake system of compatible Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs by capturing oil vapor carried through the PCV system. Crankcase vapors can accumulate in the intake tube, manifold runners, and combustion system, potentially contributing to deposits and reduced effective octane. These effects can be more pronounced in supercharged and turbocharged applications, making effective oil vapor separation an important part of intake system maintenance.
The separator is manufactured from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term service and features a knurled tank base for convenient removal during draining. An O-ring seal helps prevent leaks, while the multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen and an aluminum honeycomb filter to capture increasingly smaller oil vapor particles. Separated oil collects in the removable lower tank, allowing cleaner air to continue through the intake system.
With a 3-fluid-ounce capacity, the J&L Oil Separator 3.0 is designed for routine service without unnecessary bulk. J&L recommends draining the unit approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine use. Quick-connect PCV fittings support a straightforward installation and help maintain a secure connection between the separator and the vehicle’s PCV system. This driver-side clear-anodized model is designed for select 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 models with the 5.3L V8, as well as select 2015-2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL models equipped with 5.3L or 6.2L engines. Eligibility
Items must be returned in their original condition—unused, unwashed, and with all tags and packaging intact.
Certain products may not be eligible for return (e.g., special-order items, customized products, or perishable goods).
Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
