The J&L Oil Separator 3.0, part number JLT3085D-B, is designed for the driver side of select Chevrolet and GMC vehicles with 5.3L or 6.2L engines. During normal engine operation, crankcase pressure sends oil-laden vapors through the PCV system and back into the intake. These vapors can collect inside the intake tube and manifold runners or reduce fuel octane when they condense. The issue can be more pronounced on supercharged and turbocharged applications. This black anodized separator helps capture those contaminants before they reach the intake system.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term service. Its multistage filtration system combines a fine stainless steel mesh screen with an aluminum honeycomb filter to trap fine oil vapor, encourage condensation, and allow cleaner air to continue through the PCV system. Collected fluid settles into the removable tank base, which features a knurled surface for easier removal and an O-ring seal to help prevent leaks. The tank provides a 3-ounce capacity and should be drained periodically, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine condition.
Designed for straightforward installation, the J&L JLT3085D-B includes quick-connect PCV fittings and is intended for the driver-side PCV line. It fits select 2014–2018 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 models equipped with the 5.3L V8, along with select 2015–2020 Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, and GMC Yukon XL models with 5.3L or 6.2L engines. Verify vehicle application and PCV configuration before installation. This product is not CARB approved and may not be legal for use on emissions-controlled vehicles in all jurisdictions.

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
