The J&L JLT3084D-C 3.0 Driver-Side Oil Separator is designed for 1997-2013 Chevrolet and GMC trucks and SUVs equipped with 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L engines. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapors can travel through the intake system, where they may accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners or contribute to reduced fuel octane. These effects can be more pronounced on forced-induction engines because of increased crankcase pressure. This clear anodized separator helps capture those contaminants before they reach the intake system.
The J&L oil separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term performance. Its removable tank features a knurled base for convenient draining, while an O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. The compact design integrates into the PCV system and is intended for driver-side installation on compatible applications. Regular maintenance helps keep the separator operating effectively and limits the amount of oil vapor recirculated into the intake.
A multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to capture oil vapor particles and allow them to collect as they become heavier. The captured fluid then passes through a 1/2-inch-thick aluminum honeycomb filter, which further promotes condensation and separation. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system while separated oil collects in the removable bottom tank. With a 3-ounce capacity, the separator should be drained periodically, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on vehicle condition and driving conditions. This product is not CARB approved.

Eligibility
Items must be returned in their original condition—unused, unwashed, and with all tags and packaging intact.

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
