The J&L JLT3082P-B Oil Separator 3.0 is designed for the passenger side of 2012-2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 models equipped with the 6.2L engine. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel through the PCV system and accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners. This buildup may also dilute fuel and reduce its effective octane level. The issue can be more pronounced in supercharged and turbocharged applications, where increased crankcase pressure produces more vapor. This J&L oil separator helps reduce the amount of suspended oil reaching the intake system.
Constructed from solid billet aluminum, the J&L JLT3082P-B provides a durable solution for capturing oil vapor. Its multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to trap oil mist, followed by a 1/2-inch aluminum honeycomb filter designed to further separate vapor into heavier droplets. The collected oil settles in the removable tank base, while cleaner air continues through the PCV system. A knurled tank base allows for straightforward removal during service, and the O-ring seal helps prevent leakage.
The separator has a 3-ounce capacity and should be checked and drained regularly as part of routine maintenance. For typical use, draining the unit every 2,000-3,000 miles can help maintain effective collection without allowing the reservoir to fill. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation, while the black anodized finish adds corrosion resistance and a clean appearance. The J&L JLT3082P-B fits 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 6.2L applications. This product is not CARB approved.
