Help reduce oil vapor buildup in the intake system with the J&L JLT3079P-B Oil Separator 3.0, designed for the passenger side of select 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental and Lincoln MKZ models equipped with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapors can travel through the intake tract, where they may accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners or contribute to reduced fuel octane. These effects can be more pronounced in forced-induction engines because of increased crankcase pressure. This J&L oil separator helps intercept those vapors before they reach the intake.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term service and finished with a black anodized coating. Its multistage filtration system combines a fine stainless steel mesh screen with an aluminum honeycomb filter to capture suspended oil vapor. As the collected vapor condenses, the heavier oil droplets fall into the removable reservoir while cleaner air continues through the PCV system. The knurled tank base allows convenient removal for draining, and an O-ring seal helps prevent leaks during operation.
The J&L JLT3079P-B features quick-connect PCV fittings for a straightforward installation and a compact reservoir intended for routine maintenance. The tank holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained periodically, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions and engine operation. This oil separator is designed for compatible 2017-2020 Lincoln Continental and MKZ 3.0L EcoBoost applications. Verify vehicle fitment before installation. This product is not CARB approved.
