The J&L JLT3067P-B 3.0 Oil Separator is designed for the passenger side of 2019-2026 Ram 1500 models equipped with the 5.7L engine. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel through the intake system, where it may accumulate in the intake tube and manifold runners or reduce fuel octane. This effect can be more pronounced in forced-induction applications, but all engines can benefit from separating oil vapor before it reaches the intake.
The J&L oil separator uses a solid billet aluminum body with a black anodized finish for durable performance and a clean appearance. Its removable, knurled base makes draining collected oil straightforward, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. The tank provides a 3-ounce capacity, and routine draining every 2,000-3,000 miles helps maintain effective operation without allowing the separator to become overfilled.
A multistage filtration system captures fine oil vapor while allowing cleaned air to continue through the PCV system. A fine stainless steel mesh screen initially traps suspended oil particles, allowing them to collect and fall as they become heavier. The vapor then passes through a 1/2-inch-thick aluminum honeycomb filter with 1/16-inch openings, which encourages additional condensation and separation before the air exits toward the intake. This design helps reduce oil vapor contamination and supports a cleaner intake tract.

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
