The J&L 3.0 Driver-Side Oil Separator, part number jlt3060D-B, helps protect the intake system of select 2015-2017 Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat models equipped with the 6.2L Hemi engine. Crankcase ventilation can carry oil vapors into the intake tube, manifold runners, and combustion process, where accumulated oil may reduce intake cleanliness and affect effective octane. Forced-induction engines can experience increased crankcase pressure, making an effective oil separation system especially valuable.
Constructed from solid billet aluminum with a black anodized finish, this J&L oil separator is designed for durable, reliable service. The removable, knurled tank base simplifies draining, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings support a straightforward installation and secure connection within the crankcase ventilation system. The compact design integrates cleanly without requiring direct changes to the vehicle’s intake plumbing.
Inside, a multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to capture suspended oil vapor. Once the collected particles become heavy enough, they fall into the removable reservoir and pass through an aluminum honeycomb filter that further promotes separation. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system while separated oil remains contained for routine maintenance. The reservoir holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine operation.
Designed for the driver side, this J&L separator fits 2015 Dodge Challenger, 2015 Dodge Charger, 2016 Dodge Challenger, 2016 Dodge Charger, 2017 Dodge Challenger, and 2017 Dodge Charger applications listed for the Hellcat 6.2L Hemi.
