The J&L JLT3052P-C 3.0 Oil Separator helps reduce oil vapor buildup in the intake system of 2020–2026 Ford Explorer and 2020–2026 Lincoln Aviator models equipped with the 3.0L EcoBoost engine. Crankcase ventilation can carry oil vapor into the intake tube and manifold runners, where deposits may accumulate and potentially affect intake cleanliness and fuel octane. This concern can be more pronounced in turbocharged and supercharged applications because of increased crankcase pressure. Installed on the passenger side, this oil separator is designed to help intercept those vapors before they return to the intake.
The J&L oil separator uses a multistage filtration system to separate oil from crankcase air. A fine stainless steel mesh screen captures small oil droplets, while the aluminum honeycomb filter encourages the collected vapor to condense into heavier droplets that fall into the removable tank. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system, helping limit the amount of oil carried into the intake. The tank holds 3 fluid ounces and can be drained periodically as part of routine maintenance.
Milled from solid billet aluminum, the J&L JLT3052P-C is built for durable service and features a knurled tank base for easier removal. An O-ring seal helps prevent leaks, while quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation. The clear anodized finish provides a clean appearance and added surface protection. For best results, inspect and drain the separator approximately every 2,000–3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine use. This application-specific design fits select 2020–2026 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator 3.0L EcoBoost vehicles.
