The J&L Oil Separator 3.0, part number JLT3042P-B, is designed for the passenger side of 2017-2022 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.2L or 7.3L engine. During normal operation, crankcase vapors can carry oil into the intake tube and manifold, where buildup may reduce intake cleanliness and potentially affect fuel octane. This concern can be more pronounced in engines operating under increased crankcase pressure, including forced-induction applications. The J&L oil separator helps intercept these vapors before they reach the intake system.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable service and finished with a black anodized coating. Its multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to capture suspended oil vapor, followed by an aluminum honeycomb filter that promotes coalescence so oil droplets become heavy enough to drain into the removable tank. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system while collected oil remains contained for routine maintenance.
A knurled tank base allows easy removal when draining, and the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks during operation. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and provide a secure connection to the factory-style system. The reservoir holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained periodically, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions and engine operation. The J&L JLT3042P-B is intended for automotive use and is not CARB approved.

Eligibility
Items must be returned in their original condition—unused, unwashed, and with all tags and packaging intact.

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
