The J&L JLT3040P-B 3.0 Oil Separator is designed for 2007-2014 Ford Mustang GT500 models with a passenger-side remote-mount configuration. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel through the PCV system and collect in the intake tube, intake manifold runners, or combustion system. This effect can be more pronounced on supercharged and turbocharged engines where increased crankcase pressure contributes to greater oil vapor movement. By separating oil vapor before it reaches the intake, this J&L oil separator helps support a cleaner intake tract and consistent engine operation.
Constructed from solid billet aluminum, the separator provides a durable solution for demanding automotive applications. Its knurled tank base allows convenient removal for draining, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings support a straightforward installation and secure hose connections. The black anodized finish adds corrosion resistance and a clean appearance suitable for the Mustang GT500 engine bay.
Feature: The multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen and an aluminum honeycomb filter to capture oil vapor, encourage condensation, and return collected oil to the removable reservoir while allowing cleaner air to continue through the PCV system. Feature: The reservoir holds 3 fluid ounces and should be inspected and drained approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, depending on driving conditions and engine use.
