Help reduce oil vapor buildup in the intake system with the J&L JLT3036P-B Oil Separator 3.0, designed for the passenger side of select 2011-2014 Ford F-150 models equipped with the 5.0L or 6.2L engine, including the SVT Raptor. Crankcase ventilation can send oil vapor through the intake tract, where it may collect in the intake tube and manifold runners or contribute to reduced fuel octane. This effect can be more pronounced in forced-induction applications where crankcase pressure is increased. The J&L oil separator captures these vapors before they reach the intake.
The separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term use and features a black anodized finish. Its multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to trap oil vapor, followed by an aluminum honeycomb filter that encourages captured oil to combine into heavier droplets. The collected oil drains into the removable lower tank instead of continuing through the intake system, while cleaner air is allowed to pass through. The knurled tank base supports easy removal during maintenance, and an O-ring seal helps prevent leaks.
Installation is simplified with quick-connect PCV fittings, making the J&L JLT3036P-B a practical addition to the factory crankcase ventilation system. The separator holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained periodically; the manufacturer recommends servicing it approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles. Designed specifically for compatible Ford F-150 and F-150 SVT Raptor applications, this passenger-side unit provides a compact solution for managing oil vapor in the intake system.
