The J&L JLT3023P-B Oil Separator 3.0 helps protect the intake system of your 2010-2018 Ford Taurus SHO EcoBoost V6 by removing oil vapor from the crankcase ventilation stream. Without an oil separator, vaporized oil can collect inside the intake tube and manifold runners, while also potentially reducing fuel octane. These effects can be more pronounced in forced-induction engines because turbocharged and supercharged applications generate increased crankcase pressure. This passenger-side separator is designed to help deliver cleaner air to the intake while reducing oil accumulation.
The J&L Oil Separator 3.0 is milled from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term service. Its removable, knurled tank base makes draining quick and convenient, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Inside, a fine stainless steel mesh screen captures small oil vapors and allows them to condense. The collected oil then passes through an aluminum honeycomb filter, which promotes further separation before the heavier fluid settles into the bottom of the tank.
Designed for a 3-ounce fluid capacity, the separator provides practical collection for normal PCV system service intervals. J&L recommends draining the unit approximately every 2,000 to 3,000 miles, although service frequency may vary depending on driving conditions and engine use. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and maintenance. This black anodized J&L separator fits select 2010-2018 Ford Taurus applications, including Taurus SHO models equipped with the EcoBoost V6 engine.
