The J&L 3.0 Passenger-Side Oil Separator, part number jlt3054P-C, is designed for the 2020-2022 Ford Mustang GT500 to reduce the amount of oil vapor routed through the PCV system and back into the intake. Crankcase vapors can collect in the intake tube and manifold runners, while forced-induction applications may experience increased crankcase pressure. By separating oil from the vapor stream, this system helps keep the intake tract cleaner and helps prevent oil from reducing fuel octane.
The separator is milled from solid billet aluminum for durable performance and features a clear anodized finish. Its multistage filtration system uses a fine stainless steel mesh screen to capture oil vapors, followed by an aluminum honeycomb filter that encourages smaller droplets to combine and fall into the removable collection tank. Cleaned air continues through the PCV system while separated oil remains contained for convenient servicing.
A knurled tank base makes the collection chamber easy to remove for draining, and an O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and maintain a secure connection. The tank holds up to 3 ounces of collected fluid; J&L recommends inspecting and draining the separator every 2,000-3,000 miles based on driving conditions. This automotive component is intended for the passenger side of the compatible Mustang GT500 PCV system.
