The J&L 3.0 Passenger-Side Oil Separator, part number JLT3031P-C, is designed for 2015-2024 Ford Edge Sport/ST applications and helps reduce the amount of oil vapor routed through the crankcase ventilation system. Crankcase pressure can carry suspended oil into the intake tube, manifold runners, and combustion system, where it may contribute to intake deposits and reduced fuel octane. This concern can be more pronounced on forced-induction engines, including supercharged and turbocharged vehicles.
The J&L oil separator is machined from solid billet aluminum for durable, long-term service. Its knurled tank base allows convenient removal for draining collected oil, while the O-ring seal helps prevent leaks. The clear anodized finish provides a clean appearance and added surface protection. Quick-connect PCV fittings simplify installation and provide a secure connection to the vehicle’s crankcase ventilation lines.
A multistage filtration system captures fine oil vapors while allowing cleaned air to continue toward the intake. The fine stainless steel mesh screen traps suspended vapor, allowing it to condense and fall into the removable collection chamber. A 1/2-inch-thick aluminum honeycomb filter further encourages oil droplets to combine and settle before they can pass through the separator. The collection tank holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be checked and drained regularly, typically every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on driving conditions and engine operation.

Eligibility
