The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator, part number JLT3064D-C, is designed for the passenger-side PCV system on 2012-2017 Jeep Wrangler JK models equipped with the 3.6L engine. During normal crankcase ventilation, oil vapor can travel into the intake tube and manifold, where it may accumulate and contribute to reduced intake cleanliness and lower fuel octane. These effects can be more pronounced on engines with increased crankcase pressure. This separator helps capture suspended oil vapor before it reaches the intake system.
The J&L oil separator uses a multistage filtration design to separate oil from crankcase vapors while allowing cleaner air to continue through the PCV system. A fine stainless steel mesh screen traps small oil droplets, while the 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter encourages vapor to combine into heavier droplets that fall into the removable collection chamber. The clear anodized billet aluminum construction provides a durable, corrosion-resistant housing suitable for long-term automotive use.
The separator features a knurled tank base for convenient removal during service and an O-ring seal to help prevent leaks. Quick-connect PCV fittings support a straightforward installation and maintain a secure connection. The collection chamber holds up to 3 fluid ounces and should be inspected and drained periodically, with service commonly recommended every 2,000 to 3,000 miles depending on vehicle use and operating conditions. This product is intended for off-road or competition applications where applicable and is not CARB approved.

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
