The Edelbrock Part No. ede3848 Low Profile Intake Elbow is designed to provide versatile throttle body mounting options in applications with limited hood clearance. This adaptor is compatible with Edelbrock’s 29085 Victor Jr LS1 manifold, requiring cowl trimming and an SS hood for installation. It also fits other square bore (4150 style) manifold applications, allowing for forward, backward, or sideways mounting configurations to suit your engine setup. Its low profile design helps maximize clearance, and a one-inch spacer is recommended for small or Big Block Chevy forward mount configurations to clear the water neck, ensuring optimal fitment in tight engine bays.
Constructed with an as-cast finish, this EFI elbow accommodates a range of throttle bodies including LS1 80mm (with PN 2737 adaptor), Edelbrock 3869 90mm universal throttle body, and Ford 75mm throttle bodies. The bolt pattern is compatible with LS1, LS2, and Ford 5.0L throttle bodies, making it a versatile component for various engine builds. The throttle bore center is positioned 7 inches forward and just 2 inches above the manifold flange, with the throttle body pointing downward at a 5-degree angle. For ultra-low applications, Edelbrock offers the PN 3847 elbow, which sits 9 inches forward and only 0.56 inches above the flange, with a 12-degree downward throttle body angle, providing additional options for tight engine compartments.
