EBC Racing RP-X rear brake pads are engineered for drivers who demand peak on-track braking performance from their BMW. Part number DP81118RPX is designed for select 2001-2007 BMW M3 applications, including the 3.2L E46, as well as select BMW X3 and 2001 BMW 330Ci applications. The RP-X compound delivers a 25 percent higher friction coefficient than EBC RP-1 across its working temperature range, providing a more positive initial bite and excellent pedal feel.
Designed to maintain true race performance at the highest recorded brake temperatures, RP-X is especially well suited to heavy vehicles and applications with limited brake servo assistance. Its consistent response makes it a strong choice for serious track and race use where braking control and repeatable performance are priorities. The stainless steel backing plates and Nucap NRS hook pad retention system support secure construction and dependable pad retention during demanding driving.
Because RP-X is optimized for maximum on-track performance, increased brake dust and brake noise should be expected. Disc wear is comparable to many other popular track and race compounds but is greater than EBC RP-1. For light- to medium-weight vehicles, cars without EBC Big Brake Kits, or vehicles without ABS, RP-1 may offer a less aggressive alternative. RP-X remains the preferred choice when stronger initial bite and higher friction are more important than reduced dust and noise.
EBC Racing RP-X brake pads are formulated to provide strong, stable braking while remaining kind to brake discs compared with many high-performance race materials. Confirm vehicle fitment and intended use before installation. These pads are intended for automotive track and racing applications and may produce characteristics that are less desirable for everyday street driving.

Shipping Coverage

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
