EBC Racing RP-X front brake pads are engineered for peak on-track and race performance on select 2018 and newer BMW M5 and M8 applications. Part number DP82331RPX delivers a 25 percent higher friction coefficient than the EBC RP-1 compound across its operating temperature range, along with a more positive initial bite. This combination makes RP-X well suited for heavy vehicles and applications with limited brake assistance, including demanding track use where consistent braking response is essential.
Designed to perform at the highest race temperatures, RP-X provides excellent pedal feel and strong, repeatable braking performance. The compound uses EBC Racing’s Nucap NRS hook pad retention system and stainless steel back plates for secure construction under severe braking conditions. Compared with RP-2, RP-X offers improved pedal feel, while its friction characteristics provide a more aggressive response than RP-1. For light-to-medium-weight vehicles, vehicles without EBC Big Brake Kits, or cars without ABS, EBC RP-1 may offer a less forceful alternative.
Because RP-X is optimized for maximum track performance, increased brake dust and brake noise should be expected. Disc wear is comparable to many other popular track and race compounds but is notably higher than EBC RP-1. The pads are designed to be kind to brake discs and rotors relative to their performance level, while delivering the control required for repeated high-temperature braking. Verify vehicle configuration and brake system compatibility before installation. Applications include the 2018-2020 BMW M5 and 2020 BMW M8, including M8 Gran Coupe models.

Eligibility
Items must be returned in their original condition—unused, unwashed, and with all tags and packaging intact.

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
