Upgrade your truck or SUV braking performance with EBC ED93142 Extra Duty Rear Brake Pads. Developed at EBC Brakes’ UK EFI Bristol factory, these pads use a carbon granule-based organic friction compound that delivers strong braking response from cold while maintaining smooth, street-friendly operation. The material is engineered for dependable performance across a broad range of driving conditions, making it well suited for daily driving, towing, steep descents, and demanding heavy-duty use.
The Extra Duty compound has a race-derived pedigree and remains effective at temperatures exceeding 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit, providing substantial thermal capability beyond the temperatures typically encountered during severe braking. Cold-weather testing in Ohio demonstrated reliable initial brake effect in wet and freezing conditions, helping provide confident stopping performance when other performance-oriented compounds may struggle to work effectively.
EBC ED93142 pads are designed to be rotor friendly, produce minimal dust, and operate quietly. Each set includes NUCAP piston insert shims to help reduce noise and support consistent pad operation. The result is a durable, extended-duty rear brake pad solution that combines high friction, broad temperature performance, and refined street manners for compatible Ford applications.
