Developed at EBC Brakes’ UK EFI Bristol factory, the carbon granule-based Extra Duty friction material delivers strong brake effect from cold while maintaining controlled, street-friendly operation. This wide operating range helps provide reliable stopping performance in wet, cold weather as well as during high-temperature braking conditions.
Built with race-derived friction technology, these EBC Extra Duty pads remain effective at temperatures exceeding 1,400 degrees Fahrenheit, well beyond the heat typically generated during normal driving and most towing applications. The formulation is designed to be rotor friendly, produce minimal dust, and operate quietly, making it a practical upgrade for SUVs and trucks that require added braking capability without excessive noise or harsh street manners.
Each set includes revolutionary NUCAP piston insert shims to support quiet operation and consistent pad fitment. EBC ED92401 is designed for the front braking system of select Land Rover applications, including the Land Rover Defender 90 with the P300 2.0T engine, as well as compatible Land Rover Discovery, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport applications.
