EBC ED91761 Extra Duty front brake pads are engineered for truck and SUV applications that demand confident braking across a broad range of driving conditions. Developed at EBC Brakes’ UK EFI Bristol factory, the carbon granule-based Extra Duty friction material delivers strong brake response from cold while maintaining smooth, street-friendly operation. This combination makes the pads well suited for daily driving, towing, steep downhill descents and demanding heavy-braking situations.
The race-derived friction compound is designed to maintain effective stopping performance at temperatures exceeding 1,400°F, providing a substantial operating range beyond typical street-driving demands. Winter testing in Ohio on a fleet of popular light trucks also demonstrated dependable cold-weather braking in wet and freezing conditions, helping provide consistent pedal response when other performance-oriented compounds may require additional heat.
EBC ED91761 pads are designed to be rotor friendly, produce minimal dust and operate quietly. Each set includes NUCAP piston insert shims to help reduce noise and support proper brake-system operation. The vented brake pad application uses FMSI pad number D1169 and is intended for select front brake configurations. These pads fit certain 2006–2007 Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy and Chevrolet Trailblazer models; verify vehicle application and brake configuration before installation.
