EBC ED91696/2 Extra Duty front brake pads are engineered for truck and SUV applications that demand confident braking across a broad range of driving conditions. Developed at EBC Brakes’ UK EFI Bristol factory, the carbon granule-based Extra Duty friction material delivers strong brake response from cold, making it suitable for daily street driving, towing, steep downhill descents, and demanding heavy-braking situations. The material maintains effective stopping performance at temperatures exceeding 1,400°F, providing a substantial operating range for hardworking vehicles.
These EBC brake pads were winter-tested in Ohio on a fleet of popular light trucks to verify dependable cold-weather braking in wet and frigid conditions. The rotor-friendly compound is designed to produce minimal dust and quiet operation, helping maintain cleaner wheels and a more comfortable driving experience. Each set includes NUCAP piston insert shims to help reduce noise and support consistent pad installation.
Designed for the front axle, these vented pads use the FMSI D1083 profile and are intended for select 2006–2007 Ford F-150 and 2007 Lincoln Mark LT applications.
