Designed with a sleek, hi-tech carbon fiber look, the DEI Titanium Exhaust Wrap offers an extremely pliable material that allows for a tight and secure fit around exhaust pipes. This wrap actively promotes increased flow and reduces temperature-related performance losses by preventing heat soak, which can improve overall engine efficiency. Its resistance to high temperatures and environmental factors ensures long-lasting reliability without the need for DEI HT Silicone Coating or pre-wetting before installation.
It is important to note that wrapping catalytic converters is not recommended, as excessive heat retention can diminish the component's lifespan. Instead, consider using DEI's Corvette Catalytic Converter Shield or create a custom shield with Floor & Tunnel Shield II™. Additionally, this wrap should not be moved or removed after heat cycling, as fibers lose flexibility once heated, though its thermal properties remain intact. DEI strongly advises against wrapping titanium exhaust systems, as the retained heat can cause the alloy to become brittle and crack prematurely. For titanium exhausts, DEI recommends flexible heat shields to effectively manage heat without risking damage.
