Product Overview

The CARDONE 27-7587 Remanufactured Power Steering Gear is built to restore precise steering control on late-model GM heavy-duty pickups, vans and SUVs. Designed as the heart of the steering system, this gear box translates steering wheel movement into accurate wheel response for confident handling on work trucks, tow rigs and commercial vans.

Each gear is completely remanufactured to OE standards, with 100% new O-rings and lip seals to prevent leaks and extend service life. Internal shafts are resurfaced to precise tolerances to minimize friction and premature seal wear. Every unit undergoes 100% hydraulic testing for pressure, flow and performance before it leaves the factory, ensuring a direct bolt-in replacement with OE steering feel.

A durable “Cool Dip” rust-inhibitive coating covers all exposed surfaces, protecting the housing from corrosion and preventing cracking, flaking or peeling over time. Built from original-equipment cores and validated for correct porting, mounting and sector-shaft configuration, 27-7587 is engineered specifically for select Chevrolet Express/Silverado/Suburban and GMC Savana/Sierra/Yukon XL applications.

Installation & Warranty Notes

• Always flush the power steering system thoroughly before installing the new gear

• Install a new in-line power steering filter to protect the gear from residual debris

• Fill and bleed the system using OE-specified power steering fluid only

• Inspect hoses, pump, reservoir, steering shaft and linkage; replace any worn or contaminated components
