Product Overview
The CARDONE 27-7529 Remanufactured Steering Gear restores precise steering control and OE-like feel on classic Dodge trucks and SUVs. As the core of the steering system, the gear box converts steering wheel input into accurate front-wheel response, helping deliver confident handling and proper road feedback.
Each unit is completely remanufactured and 100% hydraulically tested to verify correct pressure, flow and leak-free operation. All O-rings and lip seals are replaced with brand-new components, and shafts are resurfaced to tight tolerances to prevent premature seal wear and extend service life.
To protect against corrosion, the housing is treated with CARDONE’s rust-inhibitive “Cool Dip” finish, a penetrating coating that covers all exposed surfaces and resists cracking, flaking and peeling. Built from original equipment cores and validated to OE performance, this gear box installs as a direct bolt-on replacement for the specified Dodge D-Series, W-Series, Ramcharger and Plymouth Trailduster applications.
An eco-friendly remanufacturing process helps reduce raw material and energy usage by up to 80% versus new production.
