This system features a one-piece open-element XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) polymer housing that surrounds a high-performance air filter, offering maximum airflow while minimizing warm engine air for enhanced power and efficiency. The open design provides easy visibility of the filter and creates a heat-blocking seal when the vehicle's hood is closed, contributing to optimal intake temperatures. The intake utilizes the vehicle's original equipment (OE) air inlet, requiring no additional hardware for installation. An auxiliary air inlet is included to draw in cooler air from the front of the vehicle during spirited driving or under load, with a plug available to close it when not in use. Constructed with durability and performance in mind, this intake system is ideal for drivers seeking improved throttle response and horsepower. The system also incorporates a Pro Dry S filter, which is washable and reusable, ensuring long-term performance and maintenance ease. It is designed to improve airflow directly from the front of the vehicle, resulting in measurable gains in horsepower and torque, especially in combination with other performance modifications. This product is not CARB-approved, making it suitable for off-road or show vehicles where emissions compliance is not a concern. Easy to install, the aFe Takeda Stage-2 intake system provides a significant upgrade over stock components, resulting in a more aggressive sound and better overall engine response. Perfect for enthusiasts who want to maximize their Mazda 3's performance potential without extensive modifications.

Features:

Open-element XLPE polymer housing surrounding the air filter for maximum airflow

Heat-blocking seal maintains optimal intake temperatures when the hood is closed

Utilizes OEM air inlet with no additional hardware required for installation

Auxiliary front air inlet for cooler intake air during high-performance driving

Included Pro Dry S filter is washable and reusable for long-term performance

Designed specifically for Mazda 3 models from 2014 to 2016 with 2.0L engines

Enhances throttle response, horsepower, and torque

Easy installation with minimal modifications required

Constructed for durability and consistent airflow performance

Fitment:
2014 Mazda 3 i Grand Touring
2014 Mazda 3 I Sport
2014 Mazda 3 i SV
2014 Mazda 3 I Touring
2015 Mazda 3 i Grand Touring
2015 Mazda 3 I Sport
2015 Mazda 3 i SV
2015 Mazda 3 I Touring
2016 Mazda 3 i Grand Touring
2016 Mazda 3 I Sport
2016 Mazda 3 I Touring
2017 Mazda 3 Sport
2017 Mazda 3 Touring
2018 Mazda 3 Sport
2018 Mazda 3 Touring

https://mainstreeteshop.com/products/afe-takeda-stage-2-pro-dry-s-cold-air-intake-system-for-mazda-3-2014-2016-l4-2-0l
