The Aeromotive 40 Micron Stainless Steel Filter Element (Part Number: aer12635) is designed for high-performance applications involving various fuels such as pump gas, racing fuel, diesel, jet fuel, and aviation gasoline. This filter element is suitable for engines running on alcohol fuels, including ethanol and methanol, making it versatile for a wide range of racing and high-performance vehicles. Its robust stainless steel mesh surface provides over 60 square inches of filtration area, supporting high flow rates while ensuring durability and long service life. With a flow capacity of up to 900 gallons per hour (15 gallons per minute) and less than a 1-PSI pressure drop, it maintains optimal fuel flow under demanding conditions.
The filter element supports up to 8,300 Flywheel HP on gasoline with forced induction, up to 6,000 HP on ethanol, and up to 2,800 HP on methanol, making it ideal for high-power fuel systems. It is specially engineered as a post-pump filter for engines utilizing medium to large electric pumps or mechanical pumps driven by 6- and 12-series belts and hex drives. Its compatibility with multiple fuel types and high flow capacity makes it an essential component for racing and performance applications.
The replacement element is constructed with a 40-micron stainless steel mesh, designed to fit all 2-inch OD filter housings, including the Aeromotive part numbers 12335 and 12343. Its durable construction ensures reliable filtration and longevity, reducing maintenance intervals and protecting engine components from contaminants. This filter element complies with Prop 65, highlighting its safety standards, and is readily available as a regular stock item for automotive applications.

Eligibility

Items that have been altered, installed, or modified cannot be returned.
