CARDONE - Reman - Steering Gear - 27-7560

Product Description

The CARDONE 27-7560 Remanufactured Steering Gear is built to restore precise, OE-style steering feel on popular GM compact trucks/SUVs and Jeep SUVs, as well as select Buick Roadmaster and Chevrolet B-body models. As the core of the steering system, this gear box translates steering wheel input into accurate front-wheel movement, delivering confident, predictable handling on the street or highway.

Each 27-7560 unit is fully remanufactured and 100% hydraulically tested to verify proper fluid flow, internal pressure, leakage control, and steering effort. All O-rings and lip seals are replaced with brand-new components to ensure long-lasting, leak-free performance. The input and output shafts are resurfaced to precise specifications to help prevent premature seal wear and extend service life.

The housing is finished with CARDONE’s rust-inhibitive Cool Dip coating, a penetrating dye that evenly covers all exposed surfaces and resists cracking, flaking, and peeling. Built as a remanufactured OE steering gear, the 27-7560 is a direct bolt-on replacement for specified Chevrolet S10/Blazer, GMC Sonoma/Jimmy, Isuzu Hombre, Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee/Wrangler/TJ, and select Buick and Chevrolet passenger cars.

CARDONE’s environmentally conscious remanufacturing process can reduce energy use and raw material consumption by up to 80% compared to producing a brand-new steering gear.

Key Features

  • 100% hydraulic testing confirms proper fluid flow, pressure, leakage control, and steering performance

  • All-new O-rings and lip seals ensure durable, leak-free operation over the life of the unit

  • Critical internal components tested for consistent reliability and steering feel

  • Precision-machined shafts minimize premature seal wear and help extend gear life

  • Cool Dip anti-rust finish evenly protects exposed surfaces against corrosion, cracking, and peeling

  • OE-based remanufactured design provides a direct, bolt-on fit for specified GM, Jeep, Isuzu, and Buick applications

  • Eco-friendly remanufacturing significantly reduces material waste and energy usage versus new production
